The People’s Government of Shaanxi Province, China launched its
2026 Regional Subsidy Policy for Consumer Goods. Within just the first two days
(January 1–2), the province recorded a total of 14,500 purchases of new household
appliances, digital products, and smart devices, generating consumer spending of
68.7864 million CNY and injecting strong vitality into the consumer market at the start
of the new year.
Compared with the 2025 policy, this year’s subsidy program has been expanded to
include more product categories. Notably, smart glasses have been added to the list
of eligible items, alongside mobile phones, tablets, and smartwatches (or fitness
trackers), reflecting the growing demand among Chinese consumers for upgraded
smart products.
In terms of the subsidy rate, this year’s policy maintains last year’s standards: a
subsidy equivalent to 15% of the final selling price after all discounts are applied,
capped at 500 CNY per item. The policy also specifies that products priced above
6,000 CNY per unit are excluded from the subsidy.
