Acer announced yesterday that it had launched two smart glasses
products: the visually oriented AR Vision GR0 and the audio-and-camera-focused
GI0.
According to the company, the AR Vision GR0 features two 1920×1080 Micro OLED
displays, with a 60Hz refresh rate, 200 nits of brightness, and 95% DCI-P3 color
gamut coverage. By leveraging the processing power of connected external devices, it
allows users to access AR experiences anytime and anywhere. In addition to 2D
content, the model also supports 3D display.
The device is compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows. It comes with a pair of
near-ear speakers and integrates a 3DoF sensor, an accelerometer, a proximity sensor,
and a magnetometer. It has an interpupillary distance of 64 mm, weighs 69 g, and
supports optional magnetic prescription lenses.
The GI0, whose frame weighs 46 g, is designed around on-the-go access to Google’s
Gemini AI assistant. It can pair seamlessly with Android and iOS mobile devices
through Wi‑Fi 5 or Bluetooth 5.0, allowing users to enjoy wireless hands-free AI
functions while on the move.
In addition, the product includes a 12 MP camera module and an audio pickup unit for
recording important moments. (Source: VRAR WORLD)
