made an appearance wearing a pair of AI smart glasses – an innovative product
independently developed and manufactured by a local Guangxi enterprise. This
presentation vividly underscores the technological progress Guangxi has achieved in the
field of artificial intelligence.
With a touch of humor, Chen Zhi described himself as an “AI caretaker” sharing his
team’s sustained dedication to advancing AI technology. He illustrated a practical
application scenario: during last year’s China-ASEAN Expo, a Malaysian tourist
seamlessly completed online ticket purchases and entered a Guangxi scenic spot within
minutes through cross-border digital identity recognition. This smooth experience was
enabled by an integrated cross-border service solution that incorporates AI glasses and
related intelligent systems. In recent years, as a key segment of wearable technology, AI glasses have moved beyond conceptual stages into practical industrial and consumer
applications. They are demonstrating significant potential in areas such as cross-border
tourism, industrial maintenance, language translation, and cultural engagement,
emerging as a novel tool for promoting digital connectivity and facilitating cultural
exchange.
Chen Zhi emphasized that Guangxi-based enterprises are leveraging the region’s
strategic position facing ASEAN, striving to evolve from being “followers to frontrunners”
in the digital domain. The launch of these locally developed AI glasses not only marks a
