It was reported that Fan Haoyu, Senior Vice President of Li Auto, a
Chinese electric vehicle maker, revealed in a recent interview on the podcast
“Crossroads” that the companys AI smart glasses have experienced overwhelming
demand. Tens of thousands of units sold out within three hours, and two months'
worth of production capacity was exhausted in just three days. According to Fan,
stringent quality requirements have made it challenging to scale up production.
Notably, 12% of purchasers are not Li Auto owners. Currently, tens of thousands of
users interact with the glasses an average of 40–50 times per day.
Publicly available information indicates that the Li Auto AI Smart Glasses, named
Livis, were launched on December 3, 2025, marking the automakers debut in the AI
eyewear market. Weighing only 36 grams, the glasses are constructed from ultra-
lightweight TR90 material and feature titanium alloy hinges. Designed using facial
data from 50,000 Chinese individuals, they are optimized to fit the facial contours of
Chinese users and carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. The glasses
come equipped with Zeiss lenses and are offered in multiple optical configurations,
with a starting price of 1,999 CNY.
Powered by the MindGPT-4o model, the Livis glasses feature an intelligent assistant
called “Hey,Li.” They deliver a 300-millisecond wake-up time and an 800-millisecond
response time, with voice-based Q&A achieving 88% accuracy. The device also
supports visual Q&A, meeting transcription, and other practical functions. It includes
a 12-megapixel camera capable of capturing photos in 0.7 seconds and recording
1440p video. Additional features include dual-magnetic circuit speakers with spatial
audio, up to 18.8 hours of typical battery life, support for wireless charging, and deep
integration with Li Auto vehicles for enhanced in-car control.
